Colour Differences
In terms of colour, an All Weather Doormat appears slightly flecked or ‘muted’, and in general slightly lighter, than the same colour Carpet Textile Doormat. In comparison, Carpet Textile Doormats appear as a 'true', block colour. They therefore offer a better appearance when printing more complex designs.
Colours also appear different depending on lighting conditions. For example, when a doormat is placed in a dark indoor location, it appears differently than if in a light outdoor location.

Our Sample Service – Making Sure You Choose The Right Colours
Before purchasing, if you are anyway unsure about colours, we advise using our sample service. We want to ensure that we make you the perfect doormat!
When viewing samples, do so in the lighting that they are going to be used. Colours do appear slightly different in differing light conditions and shadow. For example, in an area with a lot of natural light vs a dark area lit using artificial lighting. In addition, colours will appear different at arm’s length when viewing, compared to when placed on the floor.
A note about choosing white
Although white is available to choose as an option, it is not something we would advise for large areas of your doormat. There is instead the option to select an off-white or light grey. These will help to improve the longevity of your mats appearance, while offering a similar effect.

Border Options
As standard, our Personalised Doormats are produced with a nitrile rubber border. This is included in the size specified when personalising. However, these doormats can be made without borders if they need to fit into a mat well, for example. This can be achieved by choosing a ‘Without Border’ option when selecting ‘Border’. The mat can either be produced slightly oversize for you to cut down in situ. Or cut to your specified size by our workshop team for an additional fee.

Indoors vs Outdoors?
All of our Personalised Carpet Textile Doormats are made for indoor use only. However, on the All Weather Made To Measure Doormats, there is the option to select either indoor or outdoor usage. If You select ‘Outdoor’ for your mat’s Area of Use, it will be produced with drainage holes in the backing. When ‘Indoor’ is selected, your mat will be produced without these drainage holes.
